I ran across a video this morning that has shocked me. Maybe I am just a naive "white woman," but this video makes me embarrassed and ashamed. Have we not progressed in the last 50 years to a point where at least the majority of people are surrounded by the knowledge that dark skin is just as beautiful as light skin? I wouldn't have guessed how skewed my hopes were before watching this video.
I have so many updates I need to make to this blog, but have been extremely busy in the last couple of weeks and haven't had the opportunity to do so. I'll be sure to update you all soon, but in the meantime, I felt that I had to share the link to this powerful documentary. It's not even 10 minutes long, so please take the time to watch it when you have the time.
The video I'm referring to is the second thumbnail, video 02. If it doesn't automatically load that video, just click on the thumbnail.
